EMBRACING MODERN POLICING

Policing welcomes the dawn of the digital era and the rise of the significant technological shift. This is visible in law enforcement where officers and those in the legal system are increasingly using tech tools to solve and prevent crimes. Many inventions that have to do with technology like drones, predictive analytics biometrics, and more are all helping to keep our cities and rural communities safe, secure, and at peace.

In general, the lecture was an eye-opening experience for the immaculate cadets of the PNPA as they learned about the important role that technology plays in the day-to-day operations of the police service. PCAPT BAOANAN and Crime Registrar NUP Jefferson Damoslog were proud and articulate speakers, and the cadets were eager to absorb their insights and expertise.

The use of technology in the police service was a topic that was of great interest to the cadets, especially after undergoing a significant seminar on Police Community Affairs and Development. They learned about the various tools and systems that are used to manage the collection, analysis, and dissemination of crime data and how these tools help to streamline the work of the police force and increase efficiency. The cadets were particularly impressed by the eRogue and eBlotter systems, which help to quickly identify and track criminal suspects, and the eWarrant system, which enables the police to issue arrest warrants electronically.

The lecture also touched on the operational responsibilities of the police force and the importance of having a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each member of the team. PCAPT BAOANAN and Crime Registrar NUP Jefferson Damoslog emphasized the importance of communication and collaboration and the need for the police force to work together as a cohesive unit to achieve their goals.

The cadets were also impressed by the Command Conference of the Police Regional Office Cordillera, where they had the opportunity to observe the preparation of Panagbenga 2023 and other upcoming major events. They saw firsthand the importance of planning and preparation in the police force and the lengths that the police go to to ensure the safety and security of the public.

In conclusion, the lecture and the command conference were valuable learning experiences for the PNPA cadets. They learned about the important role that technology plays in the police force, the operational responsibilities of the police, and the importance of planning and preparation. The cadets left the lecture feeling inspired and motivated to continue their training and to one day serve their community as proud members of the police force.
