Renowned as the leading public safety school, not just in the country but in the whole of Asia. The Philippine National Police Academy is known to produce skillful leaders that never failed to protect and serve the Filipino people. For a few years, the portals of the Academy became secluded because of the pandemic. Since then, the Academy and its cadet never had the opportunity to showcase its hidden talents. On the spur of the moment, the Academy was blessed with a new leader. A new Director which will lead the Academy and continue the flourishment of excellence in each and every cadet. It is in the person of PMGEN ERIC ESCOSIO NOBLE. A leader who has been tested by time. A leader who never failed to make a difference in the lives of his men in whatever police department he handled which is proven by the testimony of his former subordinates.
Upon assumption of position in the Academy, PMGEN Noble immediately reiterated that he will put an end to the cases of hazing and maltreatment inside the Academy, and he will reform the environment inside the academy to become a safe place for every cadet to train academically and tactically. Director Noble never failed to manifest his concern for the welfare of the cadets as he extended multiple projects for the benefit of the cadets in the dormitory. The Food for the Barracks project is an activity for the cadets to engage themselves in agriculture. Aside from a pastime this serves as a stress reliever for the cadets from the rigors of physical training, the produce of planting vegetables also benefits the cadets as they are able to harvest it and have the option to consume or sell the said produce as an income-generating project.
Director Noble also established Health Stations in the barracks through the Doctors to the Barracks program which now provides ease of access for the cadets who need medical attention. The Cadet Store which sells basic goods and supplies needed by the cadets in the dormitory is also an initiative by the Director which boost the morale of the cadets for they are able to access commodities whenever they need them.
As a first class cadet, I see the leadership style of the Director as a challenge, inspiration, and reminder. By the time come I handle my own people, I should always take into consideration their welfare. A realization is that in order for a leader to attain the collaborative goal of the team, the well-being of my subordinates will dictate the outcome of the task.
